    Just an hour’s drive from Port Blair, Chidiya Tapu (which means Bird Island) is a hidden gem for divers. Chidiya Tapu is the region developed for scuba diving spots. There are different diving spots and Chidiya Tapu is actually a dive centre for tourists.

    Most of the dive sites are 15-20 minutes boat ride. The dive sites include –

    Fishpoint is usually a training center for the divers located near Mundapahar Beach. The reef is shallow and hence preferred as a scuba diver’s beginner spot.

    Mundapahar Beach also has a shallow reef just like the fishpoint location. Light House is best for beginner level again. Parrot’s Rock is known for its schools of parrot fish and a strong drift.
