Scuba Diving in North Bay Island – Starting @ ₹3000/pp

Why Choose Scuba Diving in North Bay Island?

Have you ever wondered about the lighthouse you often used to see growing up on the old 20 rupee currency? The image is reminiscent of the iconic lighthouse in North Bay Island of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The tiny island close to Ross Island is just 4 km away from Port Blair and is surrounded by crystal clear water thriving with marine life. A 30-minute boat ride from Aberdeen Jetty, the island is perfect for scuba diving beginners, thanks to its shallow diving depth. The shallow water surrounding the island is also why shore scuba diving diving is only organized in North Bay island. Located in the southern part of the Andaman Archipegalo, this island is also one of the best sites for sea walking and snorkeling.

Stunning coral reefs, rare marine fish species, and vibrant flora are bound to enamor you as you begin exploring the underwater world of North Bay Island. Given the island’s highly isolated and small area, it has no accommodation facilities except a few small restaurants.

Diving at North Bay Island starts at 10.30 AM and ends at 3 PM. Given the excellent underwater visibility, calm water, optimal temperature, and shallow depth of about 7 to 9 meters, this is one of the best spots for beginners to learn scuba diving and enjoy the experience without fear.
